Foreword — President

At a time when technology is fundamentally reshaping society, the Marianne Institute positions itself within the emerging field of Resonance Intelligence (RI) — an approach in which intelligence is not reduced to computational power, but understood as attunement, contextual awareness, and meaningful interaction between humans, technological systems, and their environment.

With more than two decades of experience in international ICT environments — including strategic roles within Microsoft’s licensing and sales organization, working with governments, European institutions (including the European Commission), industry, and international defense organizations, followed by strategic advisory work at Gartner — I have witnessed firsthand how powerful technological systems influence people, organizations, and societal structures.

The mission of the Marianne Institute is both simple and essential: to explore, develop, and interpret AI and Resonance Intelligence in ways that remain aligned with human values, ethical responsibility, and societal well-being. We do not view AI as an autonomous technological force, but as a socio-technical system that requires careful calibration, governance, and thoughtful stewardship.

Such work demands not only innovation, but above all reflection — and a shared sense of responsibility for how technology shapes the world around us.
